Gundruk is a Nepali
typical vegetable. it has been using since ancient times. It is a very useful
method of preserving green leafy vegetables. In this blog, I am trying to show
the process of preparing Gundruk. I hope this will be useful for all, those who
are interested in it.
Collect leafy
vegetables from which you want to prepare Gundruk.
2. Clean them
properly.
3. Dry for 1 and
half hours in direct sunlight.
4. Crush them
using weight like Dhiki, Okhal etc.
5. After crushing
keep it on a deep pot then squeeze and bring out all fluid.
Put weight on
the top of the pot.
Leave it for
3 or 4 days then a good smell comes from it.
Then take it
out from the pot, let it dry in direct sunlight for 4 to 6 hr.
Now Your
Gundruk is ready for cooking.
